Facial Implants

Facial Implants usually include cheek and chin implants but there are many different types used to enhance profile and appearance by bringing the facial features into proportional harmony. Scars are placed either inside the mouth or “hidden” in natural creases or under the chin. Implants are then inserted and secured using permanent stitches or tiny surgical screws depending upon location. Most facial implants require only local anesthesia and recovery is typically rapid, with patients returning to work after a week or less. Full recovery with complete reduction of swelling may take a month.
